Taking a break while waiting to catch the train in from the airport. By the time we got to our hotel and got settled, it was time for a late dinner.

La Flauta. This restaurant was recommended by the British ex-pat working at our hotel. The restaurant was packed at 9:30pm. I think we waited over 30 minutes before we were seated. However, the food was worth the wait.

This is one of our favorite tapas - grilled padron peppers. I think we had this dish three times. Apparently, the pepper used for this dish is only available from a certain region of Spain.

I think there was some kind of protest going in in Placa de Catalunya. There was a large crowd gathered, but surprisingly, no police presence.

La Rambla. This is probably Barcelona's most famous street. It's filled with shops, restaurants, hotels, and tourists.

This is Casa de la Ciutat, the city hall. It's located in Placa de Jaume I, a large square not far from the cathedral.

Casa Batllo. This is one of Gaudi's works. To me, it looks like the windows have teeth. Yan called it the mushroom house and could imagine Snow White living inside.
