  • This is the winding path we walked to Moni Agias Triados. This is the famous monastery shown in <i>For Your Eyes Only</i> - one of the 007 series. Unfortunately, it was raining for most of the walk to this monastery, so we did not get a good shot of the monastery atop its rock formation. This monastery required the most climbing of the four we visited. Visitors basically have to begin their ascent at the very bottom of the rock formation.

After visiting this monastery, we took a hiking path back down to the town of Kalambaka.<br />

From Kalambaka, we took the bus to Trikala. Trikala has tons of restaurants/bars near the bus station, so we were able to kill time before catching the bus for Athens.
