Gaudi's Sagrada Familia (Barcelona) - May 2011
On our first full day in Barcelona, we visited Gaudi's grand but still unfinished cathedral. Construction began in 1882, but it will be about 30 more years before it is complete. Currently, visitors enter through the Passion Facade, which is actually the left side of the church. The Passion Facade has 12 scenes that depicts the last few days of Jesus Christ and his resurrection. On the opposite side, the Nativity Facade celebrates Christ's birth and life.
